Over the summer Autumn did a deep dive into the history of famous liberal thinkers coming to and speaking at the UU Cortland church.  We know that Emerson was here, as well as Clara Barton, Susan B. Anthony, Thomas Starr King, and Harriet Beecher Stowe, among others and we’re proud of our history.   But why did they visit?  How did they get here? Lets reintroduce Reverend William Fish and his part in the Lyceum movement of the mid-nineteenth century.
