Sacred Sites: May 20, 2023

On Saturday, May 20, he Unitarian Universalist Church of Cortland and the Cortland County Historical Society invite you to a Sacred Sites Open House.
10 a.m. and 1 p.m., Please join us for tours of the historic cobblestone church. Refreshments will be available for purchase and any donations toward the maintenance of the building are welcomed.
11 a.m. – noon, Tabitha Scoville, Director of the Historical Society, will present a talk about the history of Cortland and its early development.
The history building at 3 Church Street was listed in 1993 on the National Register of Historic Places. It is one of only 21 surviving cobblestone religious buildings in the state and is also the oldest public building still in use in Cortland, NY. The Morey and Barnes organ, set in the arch, is nationally recognized for its superb sound and nearly original condition.
